This cookies and cream pudding dessert is a family favorite! In just 20 minutes plus chill time, you can make this delicious dessert with yummy chocolate and cream OREO cookies layered with a rich, creamy custard.

2 packages Jello instant vanilla pudding
3½ cups milk
8 oz cream cheese room temperature
½ cup butter room temperature
8 oz cool whip thäẅệd in the refrigerator
1 cup powdered sugar
1 package Oreo cookies divided
Gummy worms optional
Take about 8 oreos out of the package and cut them into small (½ or ¼ pieces). Set aside.
Crush the remaining into fine crumbs using a food processor or blender.
If you don’t have a food processor, you can crush the Oreos with a rolling pin.
Process until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
Make the pudding:
In a medium bowl, add milk and pudding together and whisk until they’re just blended. Put the mixture in the refrigerator to solidify.
Beat well butter and cream cheese in the bowl of your standing mixer, about 30 – 60 secs, until well combined & smooth.
Mix in the powdered sugar until it is completely smooth.
Add in pudding and the butter/cream cheese mixture, beat on low speed to combine.
Fold in a cool whip until the mixture is uniform.
Use a ladle to scoop about 2 cups of pudding mixture into the bottom of a trifle dish and spread it until level.
Cover pudding with ½ cup cookie crumbs and ¼ cup chopped cookies.
Repeat using 2 cups of pudding, ½ cup cookie crumbs and ¼ cup chopped cookies for each layer.
Add gummy worms to each layer as desired, or only add some to the top.
Sprinkle the final layer with cookie crumbs!
For best results, chill overnight before serving.
