1 cup Horizon Chocolate Protein Milk
4 – 6 tablespoons butter
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 tablespoon natural unsweetened cocoa
1/3 cup cornstarch
3 tablespoons granulated sugar
¼ teaspoon black salt
¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 tablespoon nutritional yeast
6 slices bread thick slices, approx. 1 inch
Roasted coconut flakes to taste (optional)
6 big marshmallows (optional)
Chocolate syrup to drizzle to taste (optional)
Small marshmallows to decorate to taste (optional)
In a shallow baking dish, add chocolate milk, cocoa, cornstarch, cinnamon, nutmeg, sugar, black salt, and nutritional yeast then mix well
Dip both sides of the bread into the milk mixture, coat evenly.
In a saucepan, melt 2 tablespoons butter over medium heat. Fry the bread slices till golden brown, 3-4 minutes per side.
Repeat with remaining butter and bread.
If you don’t want to use marshmallows, just dust with confectioner’s sugar, if desired, and serve warm with pure maple syrup and fresh berries.

If you want the marshmallow version, follow the steps below.
Step 1: Preheat your oven to broil. Place your oven-safe wire cooling rack directly on top of a sheet pan.
Step 2: Place top of each French toast with a big marshmallow, Put French toast over the wire cooling rack.
Step 3: Broil until the marshmallows are lightly golden and starting to melt ( about 2-3 minutes).
Step 4: Drizzle chocolate syrup on top. If desired, you can sprinkle with coconut flakes and small marshmallows.
