1¾ cups all-purpose flour
¾ cup cocoa powder
1½ tsp baking powder
2 cups granulated sugar
1½ tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1 cup buttermilk
½ cup vegetable oil
2 large eggs
1 cup boiling water
1½ tsp vanilla extract
⅓ cup milk
3 cups powdered sugar
⅔ cup cocoa powder or Hershey’s Special Dark powder
8 Tbsp butter or margarine, softened
1 tsp vanilla extract
First of all, preheat the oven to 350°F then grease and flour three 8-inch baking pans.
In a big mixing bowl, thoroughly combine all dry ingred̾i̾e ̾nts.
On medium speed, beat the eggs, buttermilk, oil, and vanilla for around 2 minutes.
Stir in boiling water (the batter will dilute). Pour the done batter into the pans that have been prepared.
Bake for 30 to 35 minutes.
Let them cool in the pan for 10 minutes. Remove the cake from the pan and allow to cool completely.
Beat butter in a medium bowl until fluffy. Alternating powdered sugar and cocoa with milk, beat until thickened. If necessary, add a little more milk to achieve the desired consistency.
Add the vanilla extract and stir well. You will get about 2 cups of frosting.
Place the first layer of cake on the cake plate. Spread about ½ cup of frosting on top in an even layer.
Add the second layer of the cake and coat more toppings in an even layer.
Add the final layer of cake on top and frost the outside of the cake.
Finish with curls chocolate or other decorations, and place in the refrigerator for a few hours before serving.
