For a brilliantly colorful cake, combine a tasty bαѕѕ and chocolate frosting decorated with chocolate fingers biscuits and rainbow smarties ants. 4 medium eggs medium-sized
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
225 g self-raising flour
225 g soft brown sugar
225 g Butter at room temperature
2 tablespoons cocoa powder sieved
FILLING AND TOPPING
3 boxes of chocolate fingers biscuits
250 g dark chocolate roughly chopped
10 tubes 38g each tube of smarties total approx. 380grams
Step 1: Start the oven at 180 degrees Celsius, prepare two 2 x 19cm removable bottom tins, and line the bottom with parchment.
Step 2: In a bowl, add cocoa powder and flour, beat well, and then sift through a sieve to make the powder smooth.
Step 3: In a bowl add butter, sugar and beat until the mixture is foamy and light fluffy, then add vanilla extract and eggs and beat until well combined.
Step 4: Slowly add the dry flour mixture in step 2 to the wet mixture in step 3 and mix well until the mixture is fully combined.
Step 5: Pour the cake batter evenly into the two cake molds and bake in the oven for about 20 to 25 minutes or until the toothpick inserted in the middle of the cake comes out clean, the cake is ready.
Step 6: Remove the cake from the oven, let it cool in the mold for a while, then remove the cake from the mold and let it cool completely on a wire rack.
CHOCOLATE FILLING AND ASSEMBLE:
Step 1: Place butter and chocolate in a heatproof bowl over a pan of boiling water and stir until smooth and well combined. Let cool a bit, but not long or the mixture will start to solidify.
Step 2: Place the first cake layer on the plate, then spread ⅓ of the chocolate filling mixture on top, then place the second cake layer on top and cover the entire cake and side with chocolate filling.
Step 3: Arrange pieces of chocolate finger biscuits around the cake (pay attention to act quickly before the chocolate layer sets).
Step 4: Cover the remaining chocolate filling on top of the cake before the chocolate solidifies, decorate the cake with colored balls.
Keep your hands dry when decorating with colored balls because if your hands are wet the color may fade or disappear.
To prevent chocolate fingers biscuits from falling out of the cake, tie a pretty ribbon around them to keep the cookies upright.
Smarties can be stored at room temperature for up to 3 days.
