Quindim is a flan-like dessert made of honey, egg yolks, and grated coconut pulp. 2 tbsp soft butter
10 egg yolks
100g caster sugar , plus extra for coating
300ml coconut milk
50g desiccated coconut
1 tsp vanilla extract
Step 1: First we heat up the oven to 180℃, then prepare the mold. The cake can be a 175ml ramekin or a dariole with soft butter. Sprinkle caster on your shirt depending on your preference.
Step 2: In a mixing cup, whisk together the egg yolks and coconut milk. Continue to whisk in the vanilla extract until all of the ingreďïệnts are well combined. Since thoroughly mixing the ingreďïệnts, strain the mixture through a sieve to remove any sand or foam. Place the mixture in the mold that was prepared in step 1 on a baking sheet.
Step 3: Fill the baking tray halfway with water and bake for 30 to 35 minutes, or until the cake is baked and golden brown. Enable the cake mold to cool for about 5 minutes after removing it from the bath.
Step 4: You can eat this Quindim after it has been baked, or you can leave it out for 3-4 hours and use it cold.
Step 5: When taking the Quindim out of the mold, use a thin knife along the edge of the tray then place the plate on top of the ramekin and turn it upside down to get a nice cake on the plate.
After that, decorate the cake according to your favourite.
While mixing the cake, make sure to mix well and just enough, if not mixing enough time, there will be air bubbles inside the cake, reducing the deliciousness of the Quindim cake can be combined and served With fruits, syrups or melted chocolate to taste.
