This cake is an Oreo lovers DREAM!
Easy chocolate Oreo cake recipe from scratch filled with 2 layers of Oreo stuffed chocolate cake (and yes, the cake is rich and moist and heavenly!), a decadent cream cheese Oreo frosting, and an incredible crushed Oreo crumb to top it off and take it over the top. Perfect soft, moist cake!

1 cup Chocolate Melted
1 cup Heavy cream
2 Eggs Large
1 cup Oil
1 tbsp Vanilla extract
2 cups All-purpose flour
2 cups Granulated sugar
1 cup Buttermilk
1 cup Water Warm
Oreo Buttercream Frosting
3/4 cup Butter
3/4 cup Shortening
4-5 cups Powdered sugar
3/4 cup Cocoa powder
1/4 tsp Baking powder
1 1/2 tsp Baking soda
1 1/2 cups Oreo crumbs
1 tsp Vanilla extract
3-4 tbsp Milk or Heavy cream
15 Oreos Roughly chopped
In a mixing bowl, add eggs, oil, vanilla extract, buttermilk, water and mix everything until fluffy.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder and baking soda.
Dump this dry mixture into the wet mixture and mix until just combined. Do not over-mix!
Pour batter into 2 round cake pans (Dimensions: 8×2).
Bake at 325 degrees for about 40 minutes or until an inserted toothpick comes out clean.
Let the cakes cool down completely.
In a mixing bowl, cream together butter and shortening.
Add vanilla extract and mix again.
Add powdered sugar slowly and continue mixing.
Add Oreo crumbs slowly and continue mixing.
Add milk or heavy cream (1 tbsp at a time) until frosting is smooth and creamy.
In a microwave- safe bowl, melt chocolate in 30 second increments.
Add heavy cream and mix until smooth.
Once the cakes have fully cooled down, cut the domes and make them flat.
Place one cake on a cake stand and top it off with Oreo frosting.
Place the other cake on top of the frosting and gently press it down.
Cover the whole cake, if you like.
Pour ganache over the top of the cake and spread it evenly with a spoon until the dough starts to flow along the edges.
Before serving, sprinkle some frosting on top of ganache and garnish the cake with chopped Oreo and enjoy!
